Why HPHT?
At Everlong Gem, we use High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) technology — the same natural process that forms diamonds deep within the Earth. Instead of taking millions of years underground, we recreate those conditions in a carefully controlled laboratory to grow a genuine diamond.

Chemically, physically, and optically identical to a mined diamond — indistinguishable to the eye, and to a gemologist.

Why HPHT instead of CVD?
Unlike CVD technology, HPHT allows us to grow a diamond using carbon extracted from your loved one's hair or your pet's fur.
That means your diamond isn't simply inspired by a memory — it contains carbon from the person or companion it represents.

01Collect
We collect a small amount of hair or pet fur.

We extract and purify the carbon through an advanced process.

Your memory
We begin with a small amount of hair or fur from someone you love — yourself, a partner, a parent, or a beloved pet. This material contains carbon, the essential element needed to grow a diamond.

Preparing the carbon
The hair or fur is carefully cleaned and processed, then heated in a controlled oxygen-free atmosphere. Instead of burning, the material undergoes thermal decomposition, leaving behind a carbon-rich material.

Purifying the carbon
The carbon-rich material is further processed to remove unwanted elements and impurities. The result is purified carbon, carrying the carbon from the original hair or fur into the next stage.

Preparing the diamond seed
A small piece of diamond — called a diamond seed — is placed inside the growth cell. The seed provides the existing crystal structure for new carbon atoms to grow onto.

Building the growth cell
The purified carbon and diamond seed are placed inside a specially designed growth cell together with a metal solvent catalyst, commonly based on iron, nickel or cobalt.

Extreme pressure and heat
Multiple anvils compress the cell from several directions, creating pressures of approximately 5–6 GPa while temperatures reach around 1,300–1,600°C — the conditions in which diamond is stable deep inside the Earth.

The diamond grows
The metal catalyst becomes molten and carbon dissolves into it. A controlled temperature gradient carries that carbon toward the cooler diamond seed, where it crystallises atom by atom into diamond's sp³ structure.

Cooling and recovery
Once the diamond has reached the desired size the process is stopped, the system is carefully cooled, pressure is released, and the rough diamond is recovered.

Cleaning the rough diamond
Residual catalyst and carbonaceous material are removed through controlled chemical cleaning. The clean rough diamond is then ready for inspection.

Cutting and polishing
The rough diamond is examined to determine the best way to cut it, then shaped to your choice — round, oval, cushion, heart, pear, radiant, emerald and more — and polished until its brilliance is revealed.
